Accessibility

A website that works for everyone

We're committed to meeting WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Here's what we've done, what we're still working on, and how to tell us if something doesn't work for you.

What we've built in

Accessibility features

Full keyboard navigation

Every link, button and form field works with Tab, Shift+Tab and Enter , no mouse required.

Readable colour contrast

Text meets or exceeds WCAG 2.2 AA contrast ratios in both light backgrounds and dark accents.

Large tap targets

All interactive elements are at least 44×44px on mobile so they're easy to use with any finger or stylus.

Screen-reader friendly

Semantic headings, descriptive link text, ARIA labels on icon-only buttons, and proper landmarks throughout.

Browser & device tips

Get the site working how you need it

Zoom in

Press Ctrl + (or ⌘ + on Mac) to enlarge text up to 200% without breaking the layout.

High contrast

All major browsers offer a high-contrast or 'reader' mode. We test the site in both.

Screen readers

We test with VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), NVDA (Windows) and TalkBack (Android).

Reduced motion

If your OS has 'reduce motion' enabled, our animations automatically tone down.

Being honest

What we're still working on

We'd rather list known issues than pretend they don't exist.

  • Some embedded maps (OpenStreetMap) may not be fully labelled , we provide a text address as a fallback.
  • Older blog posts may contain images without alt text. We're rewriting these in batches through 2026.

Found a problem? Please tell us.

If anything on this site is hard to use, we want to know. We aim to fix accessibility issues within 14 working days of being told.
