1. Who we are
Hertfordshire Cleaners is a family-run cleaning business operating across Hertfordshire, UK. We are the data controller for any personal information you share with us. You can reach us at team@hertfordshirecleaners.co.uk or on 07711 805298.
2. What we collect
We only collect information you give us directly , your name, address, postcode, email, phone number, and details about the cleaning service you'd like. We do not buy data from third parties or scrape it from anywhere else.
3. How we use your information
To quote your job, schedule your cleaner, send booking confirmations and reminders, take payment, and answer your questions. We also use it to send service updates (e.g. a cleaner running late) and , only if you've opted in , occasional seasonal tips.
4. Legal basis for processing
We rely on contract (to deliver the service you've booked), legitimate interests (to operate and improve our business), and consent (for marketing emails , you can withdraw consent any time).
6. How long we keep it
Active customer records are kept while you use the service plus 6 years after your last booking (UK tax law). Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your data, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
8. How we protect your data
All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), customer records are stored on UK/EU servers, access is limited to staff who need it, and we run regular security reviews. We never store full card details ourselves.

We'll post any material changes here and update the date below. Significant changes will be emailed to active customers.
